About JDW Design

I founded the business with the aim of designing and manufacturing individual pieces of bespoke jewellery to the highest standards and quality. I trained as a jewellery designer and maker at the internationally renowned Birmingham School of Jewellery based within the heart of the famous jewellery quarter in Birmingham, England. After gaining my degree in Jewellery and Silversmithing in 2000 my career would evolve from working for a respected county jewellers to managing a jewellery shop for a well known national company to the present where I now work full time in design.

Along side my varied career my passion for bespoke fine jewellery grew. Over this time a number of people have asked me to design a wide range of unique pieces of jewellery from engagement rings and wedding bands to pendants and earrings, all incorporating within them their ideas before forming them into reality. It is this element of bespoke jewellery that I find so amazing. I become infused by the energy a person will devote in order to realise their own ideas, and find it a privilege to work with them in turning their aspirations and dreams into physical pieces which symbolize and embody the most significant events within their lives.
